>RICKEY LEAGUE POWER RANKINGS 7-29-10

>THE ELITE TEAMS
1. Chicago Black Sox (64-25) (Previous Week – NR) (Team is scoring 6.61 runs per game while giving up 3.85 runs per game. Was there really any doubt who the best team in the league was.)
1st Hitting / 4th Pitching / 1st Fielding

2. Pawtucket Marathon Men (62-27) (Previous Week – NR) (Team is scoring 5.94 runs per game while giving up 4.12 runs per game. It really sucks for the Marathon Men that they play in the same division as the team above them.)
2nd Hitting / 8th Pitching / 4th Fielding

3. Omaha Indians (63-26) (Previous Week – NR) (Team is scoring 5.43 runs per game while giving up 4.12 runs per game. Should have put you in the 32nd spot just to prove a point but I’m a nice guy.)
7th Hitting / 3rd Pitching / 11th Fielding

4. Toronto Tiger Tanks (55-34) (Previous Week – NR) (Team is scoring 5.56 runs per game while giving up 4.13 runs per game. Playing in one of the toughest division is why Toronto is ranked so high this week.)
10th Hitting / 11th Pitching / 13th Fielding

5. Fresno Grizzlies (57-32) (Previous Week – NR) (Team is scoring 5.62 runs per game while giving up 4.69 runs per game. I think it’s safe to say the Grizzlies will win the National League West this season.)
5th Hitting / 10th Pitching / 26th Fielding

6. Richmond Red Birds (56-33) (Previous Week – NR) (Team is scoring 5.40 runs per game while giving up 4.37 runs per game. Playing in one of the weakest division is why the Red Birds are 6th in the rankings.)
9th Hitting / 7th Pitching / 5th Fielding

THE GREAT TEAMS
7. Montgomery Biscuits (54-35) (Previous Week – NR) (Team is scoring 5.78 runs per game while giving up 4.83 runs per game. Believe it or not the Biscuits give there players a Biscuit every morning. I think the league needs to test those Biscuits.)
3rd Hitting / 17th Pitching / 10th Fielding

8. Chicago Choking Goats (52-37) (Previous Week – NR) (Team is scoring 4.62 runs per game while giving up 3.67 runs per game. Don’t worry league the Chocking Goats will live up to there name come playoff time.)
21st Hitting / 1st Pitching / 6th Fielding

9. New York Mud Sharks (52-37) (Previous Week – NR) (Team is scoring 5.42 runs per game while giving up 4.42 runs per game. Has to be one of my favorite logos.)
8th Hitting / 15th Pitching / 7th Fielding

10. Norfolk N’Way (50-39) (Previous Week – NR) (Team is scoring 4.55 runs per game while giving up 3.82 runs per game. If Norfolk had an offense, they would be an Elite team for sure.)
22nd Hitting / 2nd Pitching / 2nd Fielding

THE ABOVE AVERAGE TEAMS
11. Nashville Redneks (50-39) (Previous Week – NR) (Team is scoring 4.82 runs per game while giving up 4.36 runs per game. I hate to say this but I see you falling after the All-star break.)
23rd Hitting / 12th Pitching / 14th Fielding

12. Jackson Rebels (47-42) (Previous Week – NR) (The team is scoring 4.88 runs per game while giving up 4.52 runs per game. Only reason your part of the Above Average teams is that you have dominated your division, going 8-2 so far this season.)
18th Hitting / 14th Pitching / 9th Fielding

THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD TEAMS
13. Boise Bombers (47-42) (Previous Week – NR) (Team is scoring 4.70 runs per game while giving up 4.37 runs per game. Is it just me or is every team that plays in Boise or Burlington has the name Bombers?)
19th Hitting / 9th Pitching / 24th Fielding

14. Scranton StormTroopers (47-42) (Previous Week – NR) (Team is scoring 4.67 runs per game while giving up 4.33 runs per game. I know you would looking forward to a nice StromTrooper logo but I don’t feel like being sued today.)
16th Hitting / 6th Pitching / 17th Fielding

15. Arizona Wildcats (48-41) (Previous Week – NR) (Team is scoring 5.67 runs per game while giving up 5.44 runs per game. The top 15 teams get logos, so congrats on earning your logo for the season. Just be careful not to fall below the 25th ranking or you get a lovely cupcake logo.)
4th Hitting / 25th Pitching / 8th Fielding

16. Minnesota L’étoile du Nord (46-43) (Previous Week – NR) (Team is scoring 3.91 runs per game while giving up 3.94 runs per game. I think someone is still upset that the Minnesota North Stars left for Dallas.)
27th Hitting / 5th Pitching / 3rd Fielding

THE BELOW AVERAGE TEAMS
17. Ottawa Fat Cats (46-43) (Previous Week – NR) (Team is scoring 4.36 runs per game while giving up 4.34 runs per game. I think the Fat Cats are paying some one off because they should have a lower ranking then this.)
24th Hitting / 13th Pitching / 22nd Fielding

THE LIFE SUPPORT TEAMS
18. Helena Montana Moose (43-46) (Previous Week – 20) (Team is scoring 5.15 runs per game while giving up 5.31 runs per game. I think we all know Helena is in Montana, so let’s change the name to the Helena Moose.)
11th Hitting / 22nd Pitching / 23rd Fielding

19. Detroit Stars (40-49) (Previous Week – NR) (Team is scoring 4.84 runs per game while giving up 4.76 runs per game. I hate to say this Detroit fans but your season is about to get much worse.)
15th Hitting / 16th Pitching / 28th Fielding

20. Monterrey Thunderbirds (40-49) (Previous Week – NR) (Team is scoring 5.52 runs per game while giving up 5.80 runs per game. The Thunderbirds have a scary offense but a pitching staff that scares no one.)
6th Hitting / 28th Pitching / 25th Fielding

THE JUST PULL THE PLUG TEAMS
21. Vancouver Giants (40-49) (Previous Week – NR) (Team is scoring 4.96 runs per game while giving up 5.31 runs per game. Not a good sign already when your 23 games back and you only have 17 wins at home.)
14th Hitting / 23rd Pitching / 21st Fielding

22. Mexico City Las Lluvias (37-52) (Previous Week – NR) (Team is scoring 5.19 runs per game while giving up 5.73 runs per game. Well the team is living up to there name but it’s the baseballs that are raining all over the field.)
13th Hitting / 29th Pitching / 27th Fielding

23. Salem Salamanders (36-53) (Previous Week – NR) (The team is scoring 4.96 runs per game while giving up 5.42 runs per game. The Salamanders need to find a way to win the close games, going 4-14 in one-run games already this season.)
20th Hitting / 24th Pitching/ 19th Fielding

THE ALMOST HOPELESS TEAMS
24. Dover Death Dealers (38-51) (Previous Week – NR) (Team is scoring 4.38 runs per game while giving up 5.16 runs per game. It would have been awesome to do a logo for you.)
25th Hitting / 21st Pitching / 18th Fielding

25. Jacksonville Gators (34-55) (Previous Week – NR) (The team is scoring 3.89 runs per game while giving up 4.76 runs per game. These aren’t the Gators you see in the wild, there the pet Gators that you give to your children.)
26th Hitting / 18th Pitching / 32nd Fielding

26. Charlotte Golden Knights (38-51) (Previous Week – NR) (Team is scoring 4.99 runs per game while giving up 6.54 runs per game. There’s nothing Golden about giving up 129 homeruns already this season.)
17th Hitting / 31st Pitching / 20th Fielding

27. Atlanta Jets (32-57) (Previous Week – NR) (Team is scoring 3.66 runs per game while giving up 4.97 runs per game. This team must really hate flying around, only going 12-30 on the road.)
31st Hitting /19th Pitching / 12th Fielding

28. Augusta Nationals (32-57) (Previous Week – NR) (Team is scoring 3.96 runs per game while giving up 5.39 runs per game. Maybe the team should switch from the golf clubs there hitting with to real baseball bats.)
29th Hitting / 20th Pitching / 31st Fielding

THE HOPELESS TEAMS
29. Las Vegas Whales (32-57) (Previous Week – NR) (Team is scoring 3.72 runs per game while giving up 5.57 runs per game. I wonder the odds are in Vegas that the Whales will improve during the second half?)
28th Hitting / 26th Pitching / 30th Fielding

30. Hartford Whalers (27-62) (Previous Week – NR) (Team is scoring 5.39 runs per game while giving up 6.63 runs per game. The Whalers have the offense to compete but forgot to hire some pitchers to pitch.)
12th Hitting / 32nd Pitching / 16th Fielding

31. Rochester »»»Rubber Duckies««« (29-60) (Previous Week – NR) (Team is scoring 4.08 runs per game while giving up 5.72 runs per game. Probably the dumbest name I have ever seen.)
30th Hitting / 30th Pitching / 29th Fielding

32. Philadelphia Stallones (30-59) (Previous Week – NR) (Team is scoring 3.54 runs per game while giving up 5.64 runs per game. Team needs to find some offense and in a hurry.)
32nd Hitting /27th Pitching /15th Fielding
